Humidity Error

Post by w7gmc »

I'm using a Fineset Zephyr TD-1000PWS station. I previously ran an early version of Cumulus, but now that I'm running version 1.9.2, my humidity being reported to the internet is way off. The displayed humidity is correct, just not getting correct information to the web. Station ID is AT844. Any ideas. My graphing indicates correctly with no spikes. Currently I display 59%, but at the NWS page at:

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/getobe ... aw=0&dbn=m

1My humidity is indicated online as 100%. Again, the previous version of Cumulus work without a hitch.

Appreciate any help. :bash:

The diag file shows Cumulus was reporting the humidity as 61% up to the internet servers: "humidity=61".

To WU, yes, but apparently not to CWOP:

W7GMC>APWW08,TCPIP*,qAC,Firenet:/013100h4732.43N/11117.67W_214/020g019t028r000p3.3dP000h00b00062

"h00" means 100% humidity.

Just a minute... that data isn't coming (directly) from Cumulus. This is what my Cumulus CWOP data looks like:

DW0688>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,CWOP-1:@060848z5914.55N/00235.27W_307/032g046t038r000p020P005h86b09895L000eCumulusDsVP

Steve, out of interest where did you get that data from? The diags file only shows WU, PWS, and WeatherBug uploads.

I had to guess that the NWS page was getting its data from CWOP, as Cumulus doesn't upload to NWS. I then had to look for the site on CWOP:

http://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/AT844

Then I looked at the raw data for that site:

http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/rawwx.cgi?call=W7GMC

And now I think I know what the problem is. I'm guessing that he is using the Cumulus wxnow.txt file to upload to CWOP via some other program. He is using build 1017. Here's an announcement I made on October 12th:

"There is a problem with the creation of the 'wxnow.txt' file in build 1017. I have uploaded build 1018 to replace it which fixes this; you should re-download if you use this facility."

Ho hum.

And I know I've made it slightly confusing this time by having new builds of the 'release' version without changing the version number (1.9.2) but everyone should make sure they are using the latest version before reporting a problem. Please.
