Webcam with Steele Gauges Overlay?

Post by b.e.wilson »

I've been saving 1-minute-interval images off my webcam to make a timelapse movie (using PhotoLapse), and just realized what I really want to do:

I want each webcam image to have superimposed over it, half opaque, the stainless steel gauges web page. I have no idea if this is doable' that is, i have no idea if a program exists which will periodically pull a webcam image off a website, and overlay it with the continuously-updating gauges page off the website.

Any ideas?

The way the SteelSeries gauges are coded to use HTML5 Canvas it will not be possible to set a global transparency for the gauges themselves. There is a 'noFrame' option, and I may also add a 'noBackground' at some stage, but the rest still has the transparency explicitly set to achieve various effects.

So unless you can find some means of grabbing a 'screen shot' and making that semi-transparent, I do not believe this will be possible.
