Error

Post by GraemeT »

Steve,
Cumulus has been giving this error for the last 2 days:
  • 23/11/2011 8:28:48 AM : Error at line 27257 of C:\Program Files\Cumulus\data\Nov11log.txt : List index out of bounds (0)
The error occurs every time Cumulus accesses the monthly data file, but the file itself doesn't seem to be affected.
It seems to be getting read from and written to without a problem.
Any ideas?

Diags attached.

Have you had a look at line 27257 of Nov11log.txt ? Corrupt in some way or blank?

Thanks Mark,
The one thing that just didn't occur to me - must've been in a dream or something.
Yes, there was a string of NUL's at the start of the line.
No idea where they could have come from, but edited out and no more errors.

Thanks again.
Cheers,
Graeme.

I've noticed that occasionally, on some people's systems, the Delphi runtime (or the Windows system code?) decides to write a string of NULs to the data files instead of the actual string that Cumulus tells it to write.

Thanks Steve,
I'll keep that in mind in case it happens again.

I never discount a potential Windoze problem.
