Hi Beetle,
He's doing his translation by himself, then it could be something in his local config.
But it is normal to have "misinterpreted" characters depending on visitor's config.
I think for "normal human being", it's really near impossible to be "Bettlejuice proof".
(you're probably due to reformat your Pc.

)
But I invite you to visit Translator Team translations at that link :
http://meteoduquebec.com/translation/now.php
You'll see up to 11 diffrent languages, check menu item in yellow are working pages.
That's in part why I wanted to do a clean tranlation job.
Sorry Bettlehuice, I feel jokers today!

It's a norwegian translation. All characters works fine for anyone viewing here in Norway, but I guess I would have to add some other definitions for the characters Æ, Ø and Å to make them look right for someone visiting that does not normally use these letters (?).

Hi gecco,
I don't know what Norwegian words looks like, but as you can see here,
I see strange "letters", but nothing missing or bad characters.
test-nor.jpg
My Pc is config in French and I've checked on IE9 and FF9
and the site looks ok!
Maybe we could do a collect to help Bettlejuice to change his Pc!
(Sorry Beetlejuice... I'm up to early this morning!

)

Looking at your 'translators' page - everything displays correctly except for this single line of Spanish:
Sensacin Trmica del Viento
This is what I mean - that page works !
So why, when they put the templates on their sites (or perhaps edit / save) are they not working the same ?

Hi Beetle,
That's in part why I suggested a translation process. When we try to translate from Enflish there are so many little details
that could "break" the template!! The entire "computer world" is geared on English, then translation is tricky!
For now,
Translators Team is in input mode, no template produced apart from translation site itself.
Templates will be available soon and near nothing will need to be edited, then we will avoid all those
little problems mainly due to using bad editors (or using editors badly!).
As experienced as I am,

I discovered only yesterday a little, but immportant detail:
The (real) difference between UTF-8 with and withour BOM. In javascript, I've tried to build
a header page with BOM and nothing works! Allways a message that the page as already started
the header on line 1... but no echo or print at that first line! That is due to the fact that BOM
is a "dictionnary" sent before header.
Then there is so much more then just setting the "charset=utf-8"!
(But at minimum, save files encoded in UTF-8
without BOM)
Jacques
EDIT: And I see like you

Hi Dark,
Trends page has it's own .css file for layout. Then to stretch its "container" you have
to modify file trends.css, into folder slide/lib
Locate block beginning with that line (suppsed to be line 142):
.ad-gallery .ad-thumbs .ad-thumb-list {
and change parameter : height: 210px; for a bigger number.
Hope this help.
Best Regards,
Jacques

Looks good Jacques, I did notice two 'niggles'
The sub-text "Small Weather Slogan Goes Here" is positioned differently on the 'About' page.
The menus are not setup on the webcam page.

Hi,
Looks great, Jacques.
Is a second menu line still workable?
Noticed the "giggle" Mark mentioned as well about the 'small weather slogan goes here' text shift.
Send you a message on the MeteoduQuebec forum about this problem I still have in the current Weather Blues versionas well.....
Did the appropriate style sheet order, but problem still exists.
I'm sure there is an answer for that
Thanks,
Arthur

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your well "Quality insurance" job!
That is why I show unfinished templates, it's always a little embarassing
to download a "non perfect" template and have to replace pages
on which users could lost some works, they have made.
But next templates will have an "update manager module" to be sure
things are perfect, and stay up to date, as shown here:
http://weatherbyyou.com/demo/weather_sky/manage.php
(pre-pre-pre-release, not optimized

)
Thanks again,
Jacques
