Might probably be a very simple issue but please advice:
Recently I bought a very cheap USB WEB cam from Microsoft.
Besides its lousy color performance I can't understand how the IP address in Yawcam can be configured as Yawcam simply tells No IP address found.
Is a decent USB Webcam born with an IP address?

Re: WEB Cam IP address
No.
I know that Yawcam had been having issues with their website, and a few had their concerns on this forum.
In the Settings/Conections I only have the "Detect UPNP to open ports on router" ticked. I believe this was from the Yawcam online instructions. I also Downloaded No-ip so that my Dynamic address could have a static address (instead of changing all the time).
Only IP cams have an IP address associated with them.

Re: WEB Cam IP address
Or you could use a USB-to-IP hub solution, such as http://www.cooldrives.com/usbovip4pone.html

“It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately.”
