Just a little bit of help needed to relocate a tide times box

http://www.valley-weather.co.uk/index.htm

I have one box, which is fine where it is, the "Holyhead" one, I would like the "Trearddur Bay" box to be in the same position the other side, but for the life of me, i can't figure out how to do it, this is what the code currently looks like for that area

Code: Select all

</div>
<div id="footer">
<!-- YOUR COPYRIGHT -->
	<p>Copyright &copy; 2011 <a href="mailto:INFO@MYWEATHERSITE.COM">My Weather Site</a></p>
<!-- AUTHOR'S COPYRIGHT  -->
	<p class="credit">Template by : <a href="http://meteoduquebec.com/english.html">Météo du Québec</a> &copy;2011</p>
<!--tide times -->
<div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.tidetimes.org.uk/Trearddur_Bay.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.tidetimes.org.uk/Holyhead.js"></script>
</div>
</div>

Hi Rob.

Am no expert but have found i get the same result if i include your code on my page.

I found i could 'fix' the problem by moving the code to a different area within the <div>

I also put a <p> between the elements to make them fit one above the other but in my page they are inside a left hand sidebar so it 'looks' OK

<a href="http://s09.flagcounter.com/more/III"><img src="http://s09.flagcounter.com/count/III/bg ... 0/flags_0/" alt="free counters" border="0"></a><br><a href="http://www.flagcounter.com/">Free counters</a>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.tidetimes.org.uk/Trearddur_Bay.js"></script>
<p>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.tidetimes.org.uk/Holyhead.js"></script>

</div>

if i put the boxes outside this area, for eg. before the footer i get the second layout which is poor .

Hope this helps

I have just uploaded the scripts to my site here ... http://www.philcdav.webspace.virginmedi ... ather.html

Just tried a bit of yours the <p> and also centering both scripts, now for some reason, one is more centered than the other, and i now have an erroneous square on the left side :?:

Take the scripts out of the 'footer' <div>.

The css is a little cranky and they create their own layout anyway.

Create a new <div> or <table> between your two last </div> so you can lay them out the way you want.

that worked perfectly, thanks.

Do you think there is anyway i can have them side by side at all? i wanted to add a few more local places, but dont want it going downwards, i used the div tag btw

There is 'interference' between their and the page css.

Best thing to do is put them in a table in seperate <td>, then <div> or <span> don't 'split'.
