How much data does the WMR hold? Hours? Data? Weeks?
Officially it is:

At 2 minutes: 38 days
At 5 minutes: 97 days
At 10 minutes: 194 days
At 15 minutes: 291 days
My old Dell (XPS710) died on Nov 19 so I got a new machine. It took several days to get back up and running. Just today I looked at the DayFile.txt and data between the 19th and 26th is missing. My WMR 200 was running during the shut down but apparently when Cumulus was back in business it didn't upload the data (Catch Up?) from the WMR. The Data Log Interval is set for 5 mins so theoretically the missing info should have been available.

Does C have a "Catch Up" function somewhere?

TIA.

With WMR200 stations, the station decides what logger data to send, so you can't choose a point in time and get Cumulus to download the data from that point, as you can with other stations. I've noticed with mine that if I don't download the data for a long period, it doesn't send all of the missing data when I do download it.

Just hooked up my solar sensor (UVN800) but have no idea if it's working or not. New batteries in it. The solar display in C has 3 settings but I have no idea what they mean or convey.

ET 0.0 in

Solar Rad 0.0 W/M2

UV 1 Sun

The ONLY thing that has changed is UV. it was 0 and changed to 1. It's a brightly lit sunlight right now and it seems to me there should be more numbers than what are displayed.

TIA

Oh, and is 12:30 pm so the sun is as strong as it will get.

The only solar value in Cumulus that is relevant to the WMR200 UV sensor is the UV reading. I think the possible values are zero to 15. I believe others have commented that the readings from the sensor seem very low.

Hello everyone, a "newbie" here to Cumulus.

I have a WMR200A wx station, which is currently running under WSDL (which I do not really like), so I've downloaded a copy of Cumulus Ver. 1.9.2 and am now reading through all the postings *before* I attempt to load it into my Win-XP-SP3 computer (RTFQ). My WMR200A collects only temperature and humidity data from five different sensors (1 x THGN801 outdoor; 4 x THGR810); I did not get the wind & rain hardware when I assembled my station (yes, there's a reason).

Will be back to join the postings once I know more about how Cumulus operates & performs with the WMR200A.

While reading through the Setup/Instruction Guide information, I came across this statement for the OSI units which makes me very nervous:

"Oregon
You really need to be running Cumulus all the time with these stations, or as you've found, you get gaps in your data and no day rollover (e.g. no dayfile.txt entries).
"

Since I purposely do NOT have my PC 'on' and operating 24/7, does this statement fundamentally tell me NOT to use Cumulus? Although I have downloaded a copy of everything to a thumb-drive, I have not yet attempted to install anything--was reading the copius postings and documentation "first."

So, NO Cumulus for me?

It's referring to the older OS stations which don't have a logger; which also applies to the newer WMR100, of course.

Edit: But you will probably find Cumulus quite limiting anyway, given that you have lots of extra temp/hum sensors and no rain/wind. It doesn't do very much with extra sensor data.

I believe it was on this thread where I complained about the WMR200 eating up the batteries (new set every couple weeks or so). Around Xmas I finally gave it up. In the meantime I contacted (via email) OS. Some back and forth, appropriate delays, etc. I sent the receiver and charger back. in the 1st or 2nd week in Jan.

Today I received an entire new unit (no charge to me - other than the cost of mailing the receiver back). Justy plugged it in (the sensors were already installed from tthe other unit).

Service may be a little slow with OS but they came through in the end. And that's what counts. Now if I can just find another WMR200 receiver, I'll have a complete spare {grin}.
