I know very little about how the saving of the log is handled (it's all in the Delphi runtime) but it's not quite as simple as spotting apparently duplicate entries. There can be more than one entry, but the 'rowstate' indicates the status of that entry.
The most likely cause is that you have duplicate entries in dayfile.txt, rather than in the diary log file.

Hi
I cant find any duplicate dates in dayfile.txt and I checked log.xml more an find four 16/3 and four 18/3 and more duplicate dates and I have not checked more then march2011 !!
I guess I can not really trust my data on snowfall, etc. !
What to do ??

I did a better check on dayfile.txt and find that there was two 9/3 and find some more duplicate dates in june and july and
when erase those duplicate lines I only have 31 days with snow i march !
Thanks Steve for your help !!
What can cause these double dates in dayfile.txt? Because I found several in 2011, a triple date too!
Some stupid thing I do or what ??

Could be any one of a number of reasons; bugs in Cumulus, problems with your station, your PC clock changing at an inconvenient time (e.g. around midnight), manually editing the files...
