Cumulus Support

I have been using Toolbox to upload the Dayfile.txt file to my site for use by i-ICCP site. However since Toolbox has failed (see separate thread) the Dayfile.txt file has not been uploaded to my site.

Is it possible to upload the Dayfile.txt file automatically at a predetermined time to my site by any other means?

You can either list it as a file to be uploaded by Cumulus, but in that case it would get uploaded every update, or you could use the facility to run an external command just after midnight, and create a batch file to do the ftp.

Please be aware that I wrote a program specifically to address this issue.


All you need to do is download http://www.iiccp.co.uk/software/DayFileUploader.zip and run it -
it should locate your FTP details from cumulus.ini and will automatically upload your dayfile ONLY when it is modified by Cumulus

It may be of use to other members.

Was just going to post asking about a toolbox fix as it keeps throwing an error,"date1 cannot be converted to date" I've even updated the .net software to 4 and still recieve the error,logon here, see this post and i'm going to try the software. Will post results

Dayfile.txt uploaded successfully using the programme from http://www.iiccp.co.uk/cumulus/

i-ICCP site also updated successfully.

Well got the file, installed and ran it. Almost instantly Norton Sonar flags it as a virus (not sure about other AV progs) think it's due to the unusual program activity. Anyhow after adding to Norton AV safe list,installed a second time and everything went ok, it found the required details and straight away FTP'ed the required file to the server, passed all my station details this morning to ICCP after making certain the prog did as required overnight.

Shame it leaves itself on the taskbar when minimised, might be better if it minimised to sys tray (more cosmetic really and not as obtrusive that way) at least for those that use the pc it's on everyday, I'm not fussed meself as I don't use the pc/server its installed on.
