Agreed Ian but wouldn't the sensible thing to do be to fly them to the Mojave desert for storage until better times arrive? Just as the American's do.
And as for Hollywood, I bet you they will never manage to make any thing as exciting as the planes that were made there.
Nothing excites as much as Concorde on take-off did. We live in sad times.
Of course you realise I shall now have to go watch that old movie again! :P Oh well, who needs an early night!
Not exactly a classic but good special effects none the less.

As for the good times; I know I've been privileged to have witnessed what must be some of the best and most exciting of times in my lifetime, and there may be a few more exciting spots still to be seen, with some luck. Happily many of those have been without sorrow, sadly one or two were not. I would not have missed having these memories for the world. :D

As for the movie, I've just got to where they get into the library and are coming to terms with the way things are now, and I have not bothered adding adding ice to my tonic water for the last refill or two! ;)

I loved the bit where he says, "what are the chances of two buoys going defective at the same time", and the thought hit me that it would maybe depend on whether or not they bore a certain couple of brand names that instantly sprang to mind for some reason or other! :P
