Hi folks,
I'm stalled finding a good and reasonable place to buy rigid PVC sheet in the UK. I'm looking for 3mm, white if poss, but colour is not hugely important as I found paint that claims to be right for it.
Found some that are way too expensive to use, and others that looks far too cheap to possibly be true. Maybe they want you to buy in tons or something! <shrug>
I know the ultimate source for Aluminium was posted here before but what about PVC and other materials for us home builders?
I had my hands on a small sample of 3mm grey/white composite and it is just great for cutting and drilling very cleanly indeed, and I understand it can be solvent welded too - it's a great material, but so far a good reliable and reasonably priced source has not turned up with a heck of a lot of googling.
I can't quite get my head around £15 a square foot for white 3mm I was quoted by one firm. At £30 for the two panels I am presently seeking, it is looking prohibitively expensive, even for the fairly small amount I'm looking for.
Anyone know a place I should be trying?

OK, and thanks very much for the pointer.Olddog wrote:Hi, I have used these people and they are very good

They describe their PVC as foam, and I've not encountered that before, I will have to find out how one defines what appears to be the two forms of PVC sheet that I now know about.
The sample I've been working on does not look like a foam, but it's possible one would need magnification to be certain of it's structure.
Hopefully it's the same stuff.
Cheers,
Ian

You could try ringing them and ask for a small sample
