During testing I used it on my Win7 64Bit System as well as Windows XP SP3 & Vista SP2 32 Bit all with no issues what so ever.

Jason,

I'm still looking this unit over, even if from another supplier. I did like what little I saw of it. I didn't unpack it much after I found the problem with the last one as I didn't feel inclined to waste time teasing myself like that! ;)

One thing I'm not quite able to be certain about, due to lack of practical experience with the unit; I have gained the impression that one can turn off sensors from being read at the console. Is it possible to turn any of them off, or just certain ones? I'm wondering if it's possible to run for a little while without wind data, so could I just tell it to skip those/that sensor(s)?

It's for practical reasons, The weather has come to the point in the year where my joint problems would make it pretty damn dangerous for me to try anything even remotely cavalier while up a ladder! If I can skip those, then I could run that way until things turn around again next year.

So, it really would be rather convenient to have that option on hand. In the absolute depths of winter I can find I can't even type sometimes, but it turns around pretty reliably as spring gets started. So, you can see that playing about with poles and anemometers is surely going to be out of the question!
Cheers,
Ian
