I see several pages got 'live_trend_updates' as for humidity, dew point, etc.
How do I add this to my page...like it shows the trend of my barometer and temperature as it is now?

Re: How adding new ajax images for last update?
This is output from weatherdisplay not all data are availble in Cumulus, I think some can be implemented but I don't know how, but you can begin to ad some history templates downloadable over here https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... &start=120 , I hope Ken can extend the ajax dashboard but you ask him better is the thread I mentioned.WX_Frank wrote:Like this site...you se the red & blue arrows indicate the trend variation..and the cloud base.nitrx wrote:Can you give an example ??WX_Frank wrote:I see several pages got 'live_trend_updates' as for humidity, dew point, etc.

Re: How adding new ajax images for last update?
Hi Frank,
I have updated Ken's scripts to do something like you suggest. The arrow indicates the direction of the last change so is more dynamic in terms of trend updates (note: arrows only appear on first change - I may implement a steady arrow to start with but haven't got around to doing that yet).
http://www.weather.btinternet.co.uk/testing/ajax.htm
Check out the code update to do that. I am not a programmer so it may not be the most elegant way of doing it, but it works.

Re: How adding new ajax images for last update?
I believe Franks enquiry was about realtime (ajax) pages rather than trends ?
A change is NOT a trend.
You appear to highlight 'new' until next check (or perhaps you have a long 'flash' rate ?) This may be confusing to the viewer.
When used the beteljuice had a 'flash timed' arrow for change next to the value, and steady arrow for trend.
As you will have discovered, an intitial change condition is impossible with js becuse it has nothing to compare it with, so don't 'lie' with putting an initial 'steady' condition, just creates more confusion.
BTW - I'm getting incredibly long download times with your site, problems ?
Also try to upload your cam pic to a smaller size (native 640 x 480) or use php to resize and reduce your bandwidth.
The beteljuice (and others) have experimented with this. Be careful how you present it !The arrow indicates the direction of the last change so is more dynamic in terms of trend updates (note: arrows only appear on first change - I may implement a steady arrow to start with but haven't got around to doing that yet).

Yeah, I had been wondering about how to present this information (trend v change). I know what it is, but the reader may not. This is still in thinking/development phase.
Thanks for tip re image size - I never noticed that (being local
)
