Re: <#presstrendval>?
It's the average rate of change over the previous three hours; in other words, the difference between the pressure now and the pressure three hours ago, divided by three. The web tag just gives this figure from the main screen:

Re: <#presstrendval>?
Beau, what is the value (term) in either/both the <#presstrend> and/or the <#presstrendenglish> tags!
Beau, maybe you should make a habit of writing down notes of some of the information posted in the forums!
A while back, Steve (or someone else) posted information about the MET Office pressure trend terms...
The default 'AJAX-PHP Saratoga templates' are using the following: The MET Office equivalent pressure trend terms - not sure about the 'Steady' one:
The following information was posted (I think) - again, not sure about the 'Steady' one:

The default 'AJAX-PHP Saratoga templates' are using the following:
Code: Select all
langBaroTrend:
"Steady", // pressure trend >= -0.7 and pressure trend <= 0.7
"Rising Slowly", // pressure trend > 0.7 and pressure trend < 2.0
"Rising Rapidly", // pressure trend >= 2.0
"Falling Slowly", // pressure trend < -0.7 and pressure trend > -2.0
"Falling Rapidly" // pressure trend <= -2.0
Code: Select all
langBaroTrendMET:
'Rising very rapidly', // pressure trend > 6.0
'Rising quickly', // pressure trend > 3.5
'Rising', // pressure trend > 1.5
'Rising slowly', // pressure trend > 0.1
'Steady', // pressure trend > 0.1 and pressure trend > -0.1
'Falling slowly', // pressure trend > -0.1
'Falling', // pressure trend > -1.5
'Falling quickly', // pressure trend > -3.5
'Falling very rapidly' // pressure trend > -6.0
- // The official barometric trends (9) from the UK MET Offices
// Rising (very) rapidly = Pressure change of more than 6.0 hPa in the preceding three hours ( >= 6.0 )
// Rising quickly = Pressure change of 3.6 to 6.0 hPa in the preceding three hours ( > 3.5 and <= 6.0 )
// Rising = Pressure change of 1.6 to 3.5 hPa in the preceding three hours ( > 1.5 and <= 3.5 )
// Rising slowly = Pressure change of 0.1 to 1.5 hPa in the preceding three hours ( > 0.1 and <= 1.5 )
// Steady = No pressure change in the preceding three hours ( >= -0.1 and <= 0.1 )
// Falling slowly = Pressure change of > 0.1 to 1.5 hPa in the preceding three hours ( < -0.1 and >= -1.5 )
// Falling = Pressure change of 1.6 to 3.5 hPa in the preceding three hours ( < -1.5 and >= -3.5 )

Re: <#presstrendval>?
Beau, a pressure trend of -0.003 would mean the pressure is 'Steady' as it is less than -0.1 (or -0.100) used for 'Falling slowly'.
