crazy barometer rates

Post by katdoc »

Hi everyone

Its been 2 years since i bought National Geographic 265NE (fine offset). This time after changing the batteries i saw that the tendency icon started flashing and barometer started to fall with rates sometimes 8hPa/hr!!! (i had my station barometer low record :() I reset the panel, changed batteries once again and it started doing the same crazy stuff once got very high after this, falls rapidly.
Has anyone any idea why this could happen?
The only thing that i realized i did wrong is that during the previous battery changing i used rechargable Ni-Mh batteries although without any problems for 4 months. Can this somehow destabilize the function of the two parts?

I have seen strange barometer readings after a battery change. In my case it stabilized after a few hours and went back to normal - I'd leave it for a day or so and see what happens.

thanks.Thats a good idea.Do you think wireless devices can damage the console or transmitter or they just cause temporary malfunctioning?

My barometer readings went crazy after a battery change (anything from 0hPa to 1300hPa or thereabouts) and it hasn't recovered. )-:

Thats sad :| Hopefully mine wont have the same luck. I called the distributor and told me to wait for another 24 hours and then maybe it needs to get fixed.
