Davis Warnings and Conditions

Hi Steve,

Most owners of Davis stations will know that the Davis stations produces its own forecast, but aside from the forecast, it also provide a number of not often seen weather warnings, station status reports and current conditions warnings as well, ie, 'DRESS WARMLY', 'WIND WARNING', 'HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT', 'IT'S RAINING CATS AND DOGS', 'LOW CONSOLE BATTERIES' and 'LOW BATTERY ON STATION X'. (see post here: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4140).

Is it possible that this info is available from the Davis .dll and can be read by Cumulus? Some are novelty, but to know when the batteries in the iSS are low would be terrific. I have submitted an Enhancement Request but understand that Cumulus development never ends and its a lot of extra work.

Thanks

Dan

Cumulus already displays battery status (actual voltage for the console and an OK/low for the ISS units); the rest are a bit 'frivolous', aren't they? In any case, I had a quick look at the Davis DLL spec and it doesn't look as thought it supports the messages. Not that the documentation is always correct.

I don't have any problems with you requesting it, but as ever it's a case of prioritising.

No problems. I wasn't sure what the go was with the Davis console messages. Thanks anyway.
