historic rogue reading

Post by equinox »

Hi,
Last year I had an incident where I had several rogue entries in one event and although I dealt with them by manually editing them out I see one hasn't changed and I was hoping you could direct me to it. On the 'This Year' tab I still have a rain rate figure that is in the thousands even though a graph of the rain rate that day displays correctly, as it does in the 'All Time Records'. Is it easy to edit this out? I have found the high figure in alltimelog as per attached file. Can you please advise exactly how to edit this out without creating an error. The figure of 108mm to the right of this is the correct one.
Many thanks, Eddie van Uden

You need to edit dayfile.txt. If it's version 1.9.1 that you're using, you will need to either use the Toolbox (see the wiki) or edit it with a text editor (or CSVed etc). Fix the high rain rate for that day (the format of the file is in the help and the wiki); you'll have to invent a more reasonable value.

When you next start Cumulus it should find the correct entry.

Thanks Steve, I just changed 4606 in the day file to 06 and it is fixed. Much appreciated.
