WH-3080 in foggy weather

Post by geoffp »

Here in Harwich we awoke this morning to very dense fog and 99% humidity an error message was on Cumulus informing me of a loss of sensors this happened nearly all morning until the fog had cleared.

During this time I moved the base station closer to the transmitter and straight away the signal was started again
until I put the base station back to where it is normally sited. (about 10m from the transmitter.

I have not had this error this afternoon, has anyone else had this problem during thick fog
Regards,

Geoff

With my WH-1090 I have the same issue when it is very high humidity, raining, and in colder temperatures. My sensor is only about 20ft (6m) from my base station. I've since relocated it a few feet, maybe a meter closer, and added a USB extension cable and apparently that makes all the difference. I still get one or two lost sensor contacts a day randomly maybe (A single error), with every few days a 10 minute period of it losing it, but that's within tolerance for me.
