Gauge Colors

Post by wcollins »

I'm having difficulty getting the wind speed gauge and the compass to color match (1.9.1). I can have a black background/white text in the compass, but there is no way to do the same with the wind gauge. Is there a workaround for this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Walter

That would be close. The only way to accomplish what you did is to make the background of the entire console black. Change the console background to a light color and watch what happens to the background of the wind gauge. The wind gauge will be gray and the compass will remain black. This is what I am trying to work around.

The background of the wind gauge isn't 100% opaque. Sorry.

Hopefully no-one will complain if I make it opaque...

A check box "Make Opaque?" I can't see anybody complaining if you could color match the dials.

Other than my little quirk the Cumulus software is an example of super robust coding.

Kick ass! The font color still comes out gray instead of white, but I can live with that.

I was happy to make my donation.

Actually I don’t see any deferens, so you did not spoil my great looking Cumulus. ;)

I was very excited at first, but then noticed that the web image update alternates between the new background and the old background (build on 09/25).

I can't reproduce that. If I set my window to black and the wind gauge to white, the saved gauge image comes out white (rather than grey) every time:

Could you give a link to your web site, please?

I think that the fault would be mine. I copied over the old image files to the beta build. I will do a clean install and start that one over. I won't get a chance to work on it until the weekend and yes, I will send you the url when done.

That shouldn't matter (and should have no effect) as the images (on the PC, and hence on the web site) should be overwritten on the next update. In every case I've seen before, when someone says their web site is 'toggling' between two states, it's because they have two copies of Cumulus updating the same web site.

All works well and looks well. Thank you. I would like to put a 17" web display at a friend's restaurant. Do you have any objection to this? I would be doing this for free and would, of course, have the "Powered by Cumulus" in the lower left corner.
