Just got my PWS today and had it set up in an hour. Everything working okay. Now I would like to get the information to the net. I started up Cumulus and it's asking for some information I have no clue where to find. Items such as TCP Port and IP Address. Then I'm connected to the weather station by USB cable. The data is correct. So what else do I need to do to post this stuff to the net so that I can view it along with my friends which were very happy for me to get this (farmers) and my church.

To get Cumulus to upload to the web, using the supplied web pages, you need to complete this section of the 'internet settings':

Click on the 'help' button for some guidance on what the items mean. You also need to read the section in the help called 'Creating a web site', and/or this section of the wiki: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Website_setup

Hello Tim,

First thing to ask is do you have a any web space (space you buy from a hosting company to put your website on)? If not then that is the first thing you must do, and once you have it the FTP login of your FTP site the TCP/IP address will be supplied (it is more likely to be a name rather than an IP address) by the hosting company once you have signed up.

Than you need to follow the instructions in the Wiki here http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Website_setup to set up the website. Start with the Simple Setup http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Website_setup and if you wish to get a bit more detail or alter things look at the Customised Templates area http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Customised_templates .

If you look at the help for the station settings, you will see that those settings are for a Vantage Pro.

Tim,

If you're not used to working with web pages or setting up web sites, you can post your data to Weather Underground. It's very easy and they take care of all the archiving, backups, graphs, etc.

Go to
http://www.wunderground.com/login.asp
and create an account for yourself. It's free.
Once you can log in, you can create a weather station. They guide you through the process, mostly it's locating the station on a google map. Weather underground then assigns you a station ID.

Once you have a station ID from Weather Undground, in Cumulus open the "Configuration" menu and click "Internet." You'll see a block for Weather Underground in the right side of the page. Click the "enabled" block, maybe the "catch up" block if you want that, and put in your station ID and your weather underground password.

Your friends and neighbors can easily find your station on Weather Underground, look up past records, etc. It might take a few hours before WU starts displaying your data. Be patient, and good luck.
