1081 - stowing spare cable

Hi all,

While tidying up my station installation, it came to me that I could wind the spare cable around the support arm for the TX, and trap the free ends using a cable tie just under the TX box, and then route the last few inches up to the sockets on the box.

Now it has dawned on me that this is indeed a coiled up multiple turn loop - so since there is radio involved, is that a bad thing? Or is it an OK thing?

If what I have done is all wrong, and it could well be, then what would be the best thing to do with stowing the excess cable?

I hope it's fine as it is; as that is a fairly tidy solution.

Felt it worth asking, as there seem to be a fair number of people who know about radio theory frequenting the forum from time to time. (actually some of them have been pretty quiet for a month or two, I do hope they are all OK?)

I don't think the cable from the units to the transmitter will affect the RF....as they are just sending data to the transmitter, which in itself goes to an aerial
