Hello
I have just bought a Watson W-8661 and need a bit of help.
First of all I have it connected up to the Easy Weather Software 6.2.
I have had it running for a couple of hours but when I got to records to displays nothing for all the fields (ie wind, rain).
I have checked the dates and they are ok.
Also do I have to keep the unit connected to the computer all the time or can I hook it up once a day and the data will then be transfered to my computer.
I like the layout of the Easy Weather software.
I know you do software for this model but what version do I need.
Thank you
Michael

All versions of Cumulus work with the W-8681, so you can either use the 'stable' 1.9.1 or the 'beta' 1.9.2.
You don't need to keep the station connected to the PC, you can connect it once a day and download the data (regardless of which software you decide to use).
If Easyweather is displaying 'live' data but not showing any historic data, then you may need to set the logger interval. You can change it using Easyweather, I'd recommend a setting of 5 or 10 minutes.

Steve
Thanks for the quick reply.
Thats good that I don't have to keep it connected.
Also would you believe it that suddenly all the data is now being shown in the History Data.
Also what weather station do I click on in the Config section.
I did click on watson/others but I got a reading of 1013 pressure while the unit showed 1009.6
Thank you for all your help
Michael

Also how do you stop the unit switching the time forward one hour.
I keep reseting it but to no avail.
Cheers
Michael

That's the right setting. Cumulus is displaying your station's "relative" pressure, and you're looking at "absolute" pressure on the station. The relative pressure is the correct value for meteorological purposes, it's the pressure corrected to sea-level. You need to calibrate the station so that it's showing the same relative pressure as a nearby met office station or airport.
It sounds like your console clock is correcting itself to European time; I don't know if it has a timezone setting, my Fine Offset station doesn't have the DCF clock.
