Twitter update problems

I noticed last night that my weather station hadn't tweeted for a while. I guessed that the PC would just need a reboot. Unfortunately that didn't do the trick.

I've re-entered my Twitter credentials into Cumulus -that didn't seem to help. Changed my Twitter password on the website and updated it in Cumulus. Still no luck.

Deleted all the Twitter section from the cumulus.ini and re-entered the credentials through the GUI. Nope :-)

Having searched through the forum, I guessed it would be down to the AuthTokens. So it seems. I've looked at the latest file in the diags directory and I can see

Requesting Twitter Tokens
HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
Access token response:

And indeed in the cumulus.ini I can see unknown values for both OauthToken and OauthTokenSecret values

I'm on Cumulus v1.9.1 though was getting the problem on the previous version (first thing I did was to upgrade!). I hadn't made any changes to the installed environment so I'm guessing that Twitter have done *something*.

Any ideas of how to get around it? Sorry to be a pain and thanks for all your help and a great program.

Best wishes,

I checked my Twitter page and it was updating OK. So I deleted my tokens, and it successfully fetched them again. So the problem is specific to your account, or your route to Twitter. So I think that if you want me to investigate further, you'll need to PM me your Twitter login details. Are you using the default Cumulus tweet, or a twitter.txt file?

Just for completeness I should record that thanks to Steve - the problem is fixed.

The clock on my PC had just crept over 15 minutes out which is enough to cause the Twitter authentication problems

Very pleased to see LongworthWx tweeting again.
