by "this software" do you mean Cumulus or the EasyWather software that comes with your station?

Certainly in Cumulus the 'Select a graph' feature allows you to build graphs, adding any data it captures and including several data sets (e.g. Inside and Outside temp)

Sorry yes I mean the cumulus software. I know easy weather doesn't do it.

How about the prevailing winds. By that I mean the ability of the software to give s time graph from which direction the wid blows. I.e time v direction.

These are the graphs that Cumulus produces automatically: http://sanday.org.uk/weather/trends.htm

Other graphs, as David says, you can construct manually.

Thanks

I have a WH1081 weather station and was using the eastweather software. I have uninstalled that and now I have now downloaded the cumulus software. On the setting page I ticked the fineoffset easyweather option (I think that's what it is called as I cannot get back into the settings page). The software has now come up with a screen 'Downloading Data Please Wait' although nothing appears to be happening. My station is plugged in via USB. I stopped the process and then restarted the software. It came back to the same point looking for the data and not allowing me to stop this process to get back into the setting screen to check if I have made the right selections. Also do I have to choose a com port if so how do I tell which is the correct one?

You don't need to specify a COM port for a USB station, all you should need is the 'Fine Offset' station type setting selected. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

You've got USB connection problems:

05/09/2011 10:08:49.574 : 10:08:49 EWUSB: HidControl Device Unplug
05/09/2011 10:08:49.574 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:08:49.636 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:08:49.636 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:08:55.074 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:08:55.074 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:09:17.496 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:09:17.496 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:09:17.496 : 10:09:17 EWUSB: HidControl Arrival
05/09/2011 10:09:17.496 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:09:19.933 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:09:19.933 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:09:20.558 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:09:20.558 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021
05/09/2011 10:09:22.027 : EWUSB: HidControl Device Removal
05/09/2011 10:09:22.027 : VID = 1941 PID = 8021

Check that the cable is connected firmly, or try another cable. And sometimes these stations have faulty USB sockets.

For future reference, it makes things much easier for me if you zip the diags folder as requested (right-click and 'Send to -> Compressed folder).

Thanks for that. I have solved the problems by disconnecting everything. Closed the software. I also took the batteries out of the display screen. Thenrestarted everything and it picked up the data.

Excellent.

Now I will play with the operation of it

Thanks

Don't even think about donating until you've tried it for a while to see if it suits your needs.
