I have had my Fine Offset for about 2 years now and decided to change the batteries in the remote unit. Now I can't receive from it. All I get is the red light flashing on the PC dusplay and "lost contact". Can some one help please.
Thanks Rod

Re: Please help
Have you removed and replaced the batteries on the console?
(This may remove the historic data stored on the console but as long as Cumulus is up to date you are fine)

Re: Please help
the rain 'ticks' might need fixing for Cumulus to keep itself right -- I can't recall but easily dealt.

Thanks for the reply but I'm afraid that hasn't helped.

Re: Please help
I've had similar issues in the past, and thought the station was dead.
I had to stand quite near the transmitter while I faffed about with batteries then wait a few minutes. It did seem to take more effort than it should!

Re: Please help
I found the answer.
You have to remove the batteries from the indoor unit and unlug it from the PC. just removing the batteries is not enough.
Thanks Rod

Re: Please help
It was/is. Bit silly of me leaving the usb pluged in.
There you go.
Thanks rod p.s. hope I got it facing the same way so that north is north. Very small n on side of unit. Does that have to be facing north or have to be on the north side.
