Battery replacement - any tips for not messing up data?

Hi there,

Just about to replace a set of Duracells that only lasted @ 3 months before they went flat but that was nearly a year ago now!

The console still has good battery power although I will replace the batteries in there also.

Once the batteries have been replaced is there anything I might need to do to prevent any data corruption or out of band readings?

I remember once before that my temperatures or something got hosed and I had to hack/edit the database to recover and bring the readings back to normal.

Looking at my Twitter page the last entry was Oct 12th where the only things recorded were the pressure (comes from the console I think?) all other results seemed to 'stick' from around 4th October.

Not sure what will happen when I turn it all back on so any hints/tips/gotcha's would be much appreciated.

Thanks & kind regards,

A good practice is to replace the console and transmitter batteries at the same time.

Disconnect the USB cable and treat the battery change as a new install. The FO console uses non-volatile memory so your data is safe. Just do not go through the clear console memory routine.

Replace the transmitter batteries first. Move the console close to the transmitter, 3-4m. Then install the console batteries. Be prepared to wait 10-12 minutes for synchronization.
