I use a different software for my webcam but use the same webcam. Your webcam shots do not appear clear. Do you have auto focus turned on or are your shooting through a window?
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

I have it on manual focus and it looks good here on my desk top. But yeah, it sure does look blurry . I will put it on auto and see how it looks online .And yes I am shooting through a window . I have a black back cover to keep reflections off . I plan to install the cam into a gutted security light box when I can . But it will also have a glass cover... sheeesh.

If you have a look at my installation maybe that will give you a few ideas.

I put the camera on manual focus, focus on infinity, rightlight on and turn off the record light.
If you have a look at my webcam it seems to have worked fairly well for me.

Let me know if I can help.

Re: Has anybody tried webcamXP free software ?
I'm using WebCam 7, which is much like WebCam XP and by the same people. I'm running Windows 7, hosting my own page, and it seems to work pretty good, although it is a bit of a pain to set up correctly. There are LOTS of controls for what you want to do. Most of the functions of the full product are present, except that you can only have one webcam, and no alarms are available in the free version. It does what I want, which is simply monitoring the hummingbird activity.mizzutim wrote:Hello everybody, I purchased a Ambient weather WS-2080 and it is do to arrive on 8-31-2011 Wednesday .
