dayfile data in diags file

Steve,

For a few days in sucession Cumulus failed to write to the dayfile.txt. I'm not entirely sure why as nothing changes on the PC and nothing else runs on it (no virus s/w either). The
only difference was that my internet connection was dead for 4 days and those were the same days that the dayfile.txt failed to be written -- it's odd!

Anyway, the detail is in the diags files and I did exactly what it said and copied and pasted the lines into dayfile.
What I do notices is that the Avg. Temp is zero.

here's the extract from one of the days that it failed.

Code: Select all

26/08/2011 00:00:00.930 : Error writing dayfile.txt: I/O error 32
26/08/2011 00:00:00.930 : If the above error mentions I/O error 32, something on your system is locking the file and preventing Cumulus writing to it
26/08/2011 00:00:00.930 : Cumulus has been unable to write to dayfile.txt; please insert the following data into the file
26/08/2011 00:00:00.930 : 25/08/11,8.0,180,13:12,6.0,06:17,20.1,12:57,1007.1,17:07,1010.1,08:20,0.0,00:00,0.0,0.0,14.9,4.9,17:46,58,13:12,99,00:00,0.00,0.0,20.1,12:57,21.1,12:58,5.1,06:17,0.0,00:00,6.0,06:17,16.1,11:57,5.9,06:17
I will work out the Avg. temp myself and edit the file but I thought I should mention it

(ver 1.9.2 Build 990)

Thanks - fixed in next build.

Are you uploading dayfile.txt to the 'net? Could the locking problem be that the file is being held open by something (Cumulus?) because it's trying to upload it and can't?

Yes, I upload it at 00:05 (using Toolbox) so I assumed that would not cause it as it was a few minutes after it.

Thanks for fixing it -- I did also wonder about Rainfall total but I think I didn't have any rain those days!
