Restarting from scratch?

Hi All,

I ordered my N96FY yesterday morning, and it arrived this morning, just 23 hours and 40 minutes after clicking on buy! I was a little shocked of course. ;)

Anyway, I've got it set up (very temporary arrangement), looking into optimal mountings and placements from tomorrow onward.

I have a local web server on my lan, and that will do me while I tinker. I got the web page up and running, and that's just fine more or less.

What I am wondering but don't quite know how to search for is how I might be able to reset/delete all my data which is being collected while I'm presently in what can best be described as the "Heath Robinson" mode, while I'm learning to set it all up right.

I've not even decided for 100% certain what units I ultimately want to use yet either, so after figuring that out, I'd like to pick a day, and say just after midnight, start over.

How do I get from here to there? :?

Hi Ian,

As it says in the FAQs, basically just stop Cumulus and delete the current data files : How_do_I_reset_all_my_data_to_start_again_from_scratch

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks for that, I'd not yet spotted there were faqs as well! The forum and wiki are so compelling that the idea looking for even more went right by me.

Anyway, when I wrote that, I'd more or less decided that was about all I could do, and at that time, I had a couple of odd numbers (+/-999) left to figure out, but Steve has since very kindly pointed out about "day one" and not yet having enough data to work with for some figures! In another ten minutes, the device will have physically been here for 24 hours, and later, come 00:02 tomorrow, the first day of "proper logging" will be over. So for a first go I'm pretty happy with how it's all turned out.

In the past, waking to find it had rained overnight was one thing, whereas this morning, knowing when those two showers happened has been simply amazing! :D
