hi all

if I type cmd in the search box
in the dos window i type ftp -s:c:\cumulus\dayfile.ftp myhost
an it all woks
but when i put in the batch file a window flashes but it does not update the file

During that flash of the DOS window it's probably showing an error. Maybe the lack of an FTP server password, maybe something hinky with file overwrite permission, maybe the dayfile.ftp is really named dayfile.txt. Open the command window first, then run the .bat file, and see what happens.

And note that with the latest builds of Cumulus you can get it to execute that batch file just after 'rollover', rather than using Task Scheduler, if you wish. Using Cumulus instead probably won't resolve this problem you're having, though.

Add a line after your ftp command, "pause," so you can see what's going on.
You might need to add the "-i" switch to turn off interactive prompts, once you have the bug corrected.
