I have an EasyWeather WH2081. It came with software that worked to my satisfaction.
While I was surfing, I saw several references to Cumulus, mostly praising it. I downloaded Cumulus for windows 7, but when I ran it, everything displayed on the PC was zero (or -999 etc).
When I went back to the original EasyWeather software, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, that display was also zero.
The problem first occurred more than a week ago, and I have not been able to work out what is happening, but I can't help wondering if it is a driver error.
Is this a known fault?
I can send an image if it would be helpful.
Andrew

Re: PC readings are all zero
You're not trying to run Easyweather and Cumulus at the same time, are you? Assuming you're not, if you zip up the Cumulus diags folder and attach it, I may be able to see why Cumulus can't retrieve data from your station.
Cumulus doesn't do anything to the station that would stop it working with Easyweather, by the way. It doesn't install any drivers, doesn't alter the Windows registry, and doesn't write to the station's memory in any way. It operates in a completely read-only fashion. If Easyweather can't read data from your station, that suggests a problem with the station, or the connection to the PC.

Re: PC readings are all zero
1. I'm not running both at the same time.
2. Broken hardware is possible. Earlier, I removed the batteries overnight. That was overkill, but should ensure that it's not a software error. I saw a note in the forum relating to Atmospheric Pressure being totally ridiculous, and apparently this can create havoc. I'll set the pressure to 1013.2 and see what happens.
3. Thanks for the reply. You've ruled out some possibilities - I'll let you know what happens, whether I work it out or not.

D'oh. I used a USB extension cable. Each end was plugged in, but there was an airgap in the middle. *Sigh*
