I'll second the desire to have a quick email functionality to send the contents of "Copy to Clipboard" to a few emails. Would be very useful as I report weather to several TV, radio stations nearby.

Hi,

I've got a quick and easy way to report weather out to email address. Use the "sendemail" freeware utility from here:

http://caspian.dotconf.net/menu/Software/SendEmail/

I set this up to simply send the "index.htm" from from my web directory to a few TV and radio stations that solicit weather info from nearby communities.

c:\sendemail -f scott@spiffy.com -t weather@wnyt.com -a c:\cumulus\web\indes.htm -u Ballston Lake Weather

Created a batch file that has the command sendemail and the necessary parameters. Used Windows Scheduler to run it 3 or 4 times in the morning and a few times at night. Gives all the details these guys are looking for. Snow reports are on an as needed basis...

Apart from Twitter not being email....

ScottVan is close to the solution but, instead of sending an HTML file use the webtags to format a text file that is precisely in the format you want. Create the template as if it were an HTML/PHP page (but without HTML <html>, <body> and other HTML markup code, insert the text (English) you want and then the web tag - for example:

<example start>
Report on weather conditions for <CumulusWebTag-for-date and time>
Current Temperature: <Cumulus web tag for current temp>

<end example code>
and so on. It may take you a while to create the initial page but, once generated, you shouldn;t have to touch it again.

Right..this I will do. I need to remove some infos in that file that are blank all time anyways.

This is one of the (supplied) FreeWx templates - don't worry about what each tag really does - most are self apparent - but it will give you an idea of how to make up an email template for yourelf. Then you just use C to do the translations for you or.
