I'm trying to use strings.ini to change how some of the graphs are displayed but of course it's not working. Any suggestions?

Could you attach your strings.ini file, please, preferably zipped to preserve any file properties.

Zipped file attached. Hope it helps.

The only change you seem to have made is to delete this line:

LargeGraphWindChillTitle=Wind Chill

which doesn't have any effect, as the default string ("Wind Chill") then applies anyway. What effect were you hoping for?

I'm trying to eliminate Wind Chill from the graph legend. It doesn't apply in the summer as the Heat Index doesn't apply in the winter. Also, I'm not able to collect any reliable wind data due to my location.

If I change the line (instead of deleting it) to "LargeGraphWindChillTitle= " will that work?

If you right-click on the graph, you can remove the wind chill line altogether.

Huh? Not in any browser that I use. What do you mean? I want to be able to control how the graph is displayed without any user intervention. If strings.ini won't do it, what is the purpose of it?

The purpose of strings.ini is to modify various strings in Cumulus, not to add or remove them. Setting them to an empty string may well work in some cases; with the graph captions you would probably be left with just the units.

If you right click on the graph in Cumulus, you can remove the wind chill line.

Now I'm really confused. What do you mean by "If you right click on the graph in Cumulus"? Where do I find "the graph"? Please, some detailed help. Sorry that I'm missing something here.

In Cumulus, click on the 'View' menu, then 'Graphs'. Select the 'Outside Temperature' graph by clicking on it in the set of small graphs at the bottom. Right-click on the large Outside Temperature graph and untick 'Wind chill visible'. This affects the display both as seen in Cumulus, and as seen in the image created for upload to a web site.

Many thanks! You cleared it up perfectly. Cumulus is a quality progam - just sent you a donation. Keep up the great work :!:
