Cumulus gets better and better nearly every day, so much so I cant keep up sometimes !

I wondered if there was a way there was some kind of "auto alert" that could let you know there is an update available ?

Apologies if covered elsewhere.

cheers

Yes - I'd like to do this, and I do have the means to do it, with the package I bought that does the wind speed gauge and some of the 'bling'. It offers the option to be just told about a new version, or to go and fetch it and automatically install it. I just need to find time to look at how I can use it and then actually implement it.

I'd like a webtag to say the current version is out of date. Would that be possible Steve? I guess that would mean Cumulus checking a website of yours at an interval?

It certainly isn't priority for me, but maybe would help Cumulus users keep up to date with the latest beta versions and stop reporting faults with older ones where problems may have been fixed.

That's probably something I could do with this component that I've bought - but I haven't looked into it fully yet. I know that it checks for new versions at start up; I assume it also has options to check periodically, as it has the ability to automatically install a new version while the software is still running (it would presumably restart the software).

Not sure this is what you are looking for ,but...
I subscribe to the "Announcements and News" section of this Forum.(Anyone can) And every time Steve creates a new BETA version, I get an e-mail telling me so. I then decide if I want to download and use the new version.

Just a thought....
