Rain rate allarm

Post by dvandellen »

Hi,

I have a question about the alarm in cumulus.

I have set the rain rate alarm. So when its raining more then 0mm/hour it wil set alarm=1.
Does the alarm automaticly turns off when its stops raining?

When i click on the red rain rate its goes off i think...

Is it possible to change this so cumulus will set the alarm to 0 when it not raining anymore?

Thanks in advance,
DvD

The label should go blue when the rain rate goes below the alarm value, to show that it went off previously but is no longer current. The <#HighRainRateAlarm> web tag should then start giving 0.

Hmm,

I watched cumulus for some days, and it doesn't stop the alarm automaticly...
Rain rate stays red until i click on it.

I dont use a monitor because i always connect to the pc with remote desktop, could that be the problem?
I turned off the screensaver and the option disable monitor in 20 minutes. But it doesn't helps
I use cumuluswebtags to check if the alarm is 1/0

Why doesn't turn the alarm off by itself?

Can I suggest that you use a figure greater than 0. I also use the alarm to trigger photo's on my website. I just use the figure 1 as the minimum rain rate that my unit measures (after 0) is greater than 1.
I think that your alarm does not turn off as it never will drop below 0 after the alarm has been triggered.
Use 0.1 if you want, at least the alarm will turn off when it goes below 0.1 to get to 0. :?

Ah, well spotted, that's clearly what's going on. I had overlooked the fact that a value of zero was being used, so as I said, when the rain rate gets below zero (!) the alarm will turn off.

Aah ofcourse, never though about that

I will try this for some years :P

Is there a possibility to have a select-a-graph version online on the website? That would be great...

Thanks,
