Problem with 1.9.2 Build 1004

Yesterday, I updated/upgraded to 1004.

In the Cumulus 'Station settings' window, in the bottom right corner 'Forecast' section, I have un-selected the 'Cumulus forecast' option - to force Cumulus into using the forecast from my Vantage Pro2 console (the option to 'Update hourly' has remained selected).

A while later, I noticed the 'Forecast' line on Cumulus' main window was empty - I looked at the files produced by Cumulus and the '<#wlatest>' webtag was also empty.

Eight hours later, the forecast on main screen of Cumulus 1004 was still empty (and so was the webtag)!

I have just reverted back to 1003 to find out if the forecast from the Vantage Pro2 console will be available for a longer time (I had no such problem in previous versions)...

FYI: For months, Cumulus has been getting its weather data through Virtual VP without problem.

Any advice or suggestions?

Did you notice whether it was showing a forecast when you first started it, which subsequently disappeared? Mine's been working fine, I never have the 'cumulus forecast' ticked. But I didn't have the 'hourly forecast' ticked; I've just done that, I'll see if mine also disappears now I have the same settings as you; I suspect the bug happens on the hour. When I get chance I'll have a look at the code, the bug should be obvious.
I looked at the files produced by Cumulus and the '<#wlatest>' webtag was also empty.
That's very weird, I haven't done anything for a long time with the wind speed. That tag takes its value directly from the 'Latest' value on the Cumulus main screen - was that also empty?

I've found the bug with the forecast; a typo that causes the station forecast to become empty (and then stay that way) on the hour when 'hourly forecast' is ticked. I've fixed it for the next build.

The <#wlatest> tag is still a mystery.

Good that you found what is/was causing the weather station forecast to disappear - I first thought it was something on my system (computer - I am still having reliability problems with my latest re-re-re-installation of Windows 7) - but, once I re-installed 1003 and 15 hours later, the weather station is still displaying... :?

I will keep 1003 operating until 1005 is released. ;)

Steve, sorry about the confusion... ...the webtag I meant was '<#wsforecast>' which is the tag representing the weather station forecast.

I really really have to get some additional hours of sleep... ...my eyesight is suffering from that!

Steve, on to another subject... From what I read in the forums and if my memory serves me well, you are running the 64-bit of Windows 7 - have you encounter many situation with drivers that were not compatible? Because I use Virtual VP, I need to have (installed) a serial port emulator driver - would you know of any such 64-bit certified drivers? Thanks.

No, I've always been able to find signed drivers for everything.

I don't run Virtual VP on the 64-bit machine; I have it installed on my 32-bite server (but rarely run it). The last time I looked, the only 64-bit drivers were 'cost' items, because the author has to pay Microsoft for the signing.
