HI,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself as i'm new here and new to the whole home weather station thing.
I recently bought a Waters & Stanton W-8681 MkII station, I have not set it up yet and was looking for some advice. I'm not 'technically daft' I make a living as a 3rd line Technical Support Engineer, however after some reading around on the net I have seen a lot of mention that the LCD panel has to have a line of sight to the weather station in order for it to receive data.
I was under the impresion that as the weather station is broadcasting the data at 876Mhz radio frequencey that this will not require line of sight.
Can anybody clear this up for me, in my head the whole line of sight makes no sense but I just want to be sure before I go to the bother of climbing up on the roof to mount the station on the chimney stack.
Thanks very much in advance,
Mark L
