In your language.js file I see you have added an Italian translation. BUT you have left the object for the UV entries as the English object
Code: Select all
LANG_EN.uv_title = "UV Index";
should be...
LANG_IT.uv_title = "UV Index";
etc....
Edit: Oh, and your script version is still 1.3.3?
Edit2: I suggest you upgrade to the latest version of Cumulus too - then the Wind Direction gauge will work properly.

Simple fix, in converting the template page you have dropped the Cumulus version/build spans. The script is erroring when it fails to find them. I'll put some error checking in the code as a few people have fallen foul of this.
Code: Select all
powered by <a href="http://sandaysoft.com/products/cumulus" target="_blank">Cumulus</a> v<span id="cumulusVersion"></span> (<span id="cumulusBuild"></span>)
Thank you! All working again
Might play around with some of the designs now

I'm using SteelSeries gauges v 1.4.1 and Cumulus v 1.9.2
On my web page (
http://meteobellaria.altervista.org/cumulus/gauges.htm) the gauge "temp." and the gauge "press." doesn't display the UP and DOWN trend, the trend displayed in temp. and pressure is always on "steady"
in gauges.js file
Code: Select all
var g_tempTrendVisible = true;
var g_pressureTrendVisible = true;
in realtimegauges.txt file
Code: Select all
......"temptrend":"-0,1"......"presstrendval":"+0,6".............
both the gauges are now on "steady"
Could someone help me?
Thank you very much
Hello!
I had the same problem and solved i likt this.
In gauges.js i changed the code around 848 (in version 1.4.1)
from
var t1 = cumulus.temptrend;
t1.replace(',', '.');
to
var t1 = cumulus.temptrend.replace(',', '.');
//t1.replace(',', '.');
and aroud row 1182
from
var t1 = cumulus.presstrendval;
t1.replace(',', '.');
to
var t1 = cumulus.presstrendval.replace(',', '.');
//t1.replace(',', '.');
Well, I don´t know if this is the best way to solve the problem, but it works for me.

The problem with that solution is that it changes the source string, so you will lose the comma decimal in the pop-up displays.

Thank You very much, Your suggestion solved the problem and now the gauges display right trend temp. and pressure!

I will update the scripts and Cumulus software as soon as possible
Thank You very much again!

No it hasn't, it has just masked part of it. Your page is not updating, the script is still crashing, and none of your pop-ups work. You need to apply the fix I supplied.

This is my first 'upgrade' of the SteelSeries Gauges - What's the upgrade procedure please?
Thanks.
/edit - I think I got it, recopy the directories, recopy the two files. Job appears to be a good 'un

Updated Cumulus to v 1.9.2 1028
Downloaded SteelSeriesGauges v 1.4.2a
Without the workaround suggested from Justin-Case the problem of trend temp. and press. indicator always on "steady" remains.

Ah, penny drops! Yes you DO need to change that bit of code, I'd looked at it several times and could not see why the original version failed - I can now! I'll push out a patch now...

Version 1.4.3 posted, if you already have 1.4.2 then the only file updated is gauges.js...
- 1.4.3
- Updated gauges.js
- Reduced the default range for the barometer from 960-1040 to 990-1030hPa (29.0-30.5 to 29.2-30.4inHg).
This should look better on those sites that have very little pressure variation.
- Finally(?) at third attempt got the METAR STDY wind calculation correct!
- Fixed comma decimal bug with temperature and pressure trends.

Just installed, updated, works great:
http://www.casacota.cat/cumulus/gauges-ss.htm
Thanks!
PD: added a partial Catalan translation in languages.js
PS2: added wetbulb calculation and option in the "dew" gauge. It's done in gauges.js, and needs small changes in gauges-ssT.htm and languages.js
