Thank you Mark. Funny how you can look at something and not see the problem.

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
I saw a couple of sites running these gauges and thought 'wow, they look good'
A quick search brought up this thread and bingo! My site now uses them.
Trouble free installation, thanks
The only thing I noticed - In my \cumulus\web directory on the PC, I have two extra files, clearly temp files which are gauges-ssT.htmtmp and realtimegaugesT.txttmp. Is this normal?
/edit - What exactly does the windspeed gauge show? It doesn't seem to tally up with either gust or average.

Yes, when Cumulus 'processes' files it always creates these temporary files and FTPs these files to your site.Feek wrote:The only thing I noticed - In my \cumulus\web directory on the PC, I have two extra files, clearly temp files which are gauges-ssT.htmtmp and realtimegaugesT.txttmp. The green sector shows the 10 minute average, the red sector the 10 minute gust, and the pointer the latest reading. I just checked you site and they match the figures on your 'now' page - the 'latest' value isn't displayed on your web page but it will be on the Cumulus screen.Feek wrote:/edit - What exactly does the windspeed gauge show? Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Hello, Mark
I am testing your UV-page here but it only gives "NAN" in the led and 11 in the gauge, take a look here:http://www.akker.be/gauges-ss.htm, almost convinced that it is a bad setting, but can't find it...
Can you help please?
Thanks in advance!

I'll patch it, but in the meantime you can change gauges.js line 1323 from:
g_uv.value = +cumulus.UV;
to:
g_uv.value = +cumulus.UV.replace(',', '.');
and line 1353 from:
tip = "<b>" + LANG_EN.uv_title + ': ' + g_uv.value + '<br>';
to:
tip = "<b>" + LANG.uv_title + ': ' + cumulus.UV + '<br>';

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Mark,
That worked like a charm!! Working now, i have to wait until tomorrow now, the sun is too low, tomorrow is expected to be a sunny day, so i will test it out again then...
Update: Working, had a UV-index of 0.7 today!
Solar sensor would of course be a great bonus!
Thanks for the fix!

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Mark,
Sorry to be a pest but after updating the steelseries gauges yesterday I've lost the alternative standard gauges provided by Cumulus.
They should be visible on this page. http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk/gauges.htm but as you can see I'm just getting placeholders. Any advice appreciated.

I haven't an UV sensor. Can you include Solar Radiation gauge?

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Many thanks to Mark and Gerrit for this stunning series of gauges
I'm on version 1.4.1
Cumulus 1.9.2 1017
I have a couple of questions.
On my site http://home.btconnect.com/CholseyWeathe ... ges-ss.htm
the barometric pressure range is from 20 to 1020 hPa. I haven't changed the defaults in the script (I don't know how!) so can you help me to get the range to be something more sensible?
The temperature gauges have 10 subdivisions for 5 degrees of temperature change. Is it possible to have 5 subdivisions so each one is one degree?
OK, three questions
Where do I find the Linear gauges for rainfall and rain rate? I've seen them on a couple of sites.
Regards
Dave

The script uses your record low/high to scale the gauge, as your record low pressure is 29.7 hPa, it ranges from 20 upwards. Fix your incorrect record and the gauge will reflect this.beeman wrote:I'm on version 1.4.1

No. Not currentlybeeman wrote:The temperature gauges have 10 subdivisions for 5 degrees of temperature change. Is it possible to have 5 subdivisions so each one is one degree?
You need to use the full SteelSeries library available from github, and then figure out how to use Linear gauges, you can crib this from people who have used them on their sites - always polite to ask of coursebeeman wrote:Where do I find the Linear gauges for rainfall and rain rate?
