Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Version 1.4.0 is now available.
This adds an (optional) UV gauge.
To remove the gauge, change line 25 of gauges.js to...
var g_showUvGauge = false; //Display the UV Index gauge
Note: Only English for now, I'll update as and when translations become available
Note: Quite a number of the files have been updated, make sure you change all of them.
Note: I have not updated the 'alternate' layout to accommodate the new gauge
I do not have a UV meter myself, so I'd be interested in feedback on how it works - not that you lot are usually reticent at coming forward
1.4.0
* Updated gauges-ssT.htm (plus other languages)
- Added UV gauge
- Made Cumulus version/build fields dymanically updated by the script
* Updated ddimgtooltip.js (plus minimised)
- Amended to cope with non-graphic pop-ups for UV gauge
* Updated language.js
- Added UV entries, English only for now, translations required
* Updated steelseries.js (plus minimised)
- Uplifted to version 0.9.11a, Cumulus cutdown version
* Updated realtimeguagesT.txt
- Added UV and Cumulus version values

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Thanks Mark for this,
Can't belive how quick things get down round here!
Will test and let you know.
Just uploaded, and I seem to be stuck at Downloading... on the display?
Have I missed something out?
Whoops forgot to edit the gauges.js to point to my realtime file (what a donut)

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Right I'm stuck.
It's all uploaded, changed the files to point to my realtimegauges.txt
But the page just shows Downloading and 20seconds (which I adjusted it too)
Have I missed something obvious?

A link to the page may help
Your 'public' SS gauges page is working, but that is version 1.3

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Its failing to find the "powered by Cumulus v1.9.2 (1027)" bit in your HTML. There are a couple of <spans> in there that the gauges.js script attempts to update at lines 765,766. You can comment those lines out for now, and fix the HTML later if you wish

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
So Easy when you know how!!
I thought I'd take them lines out to make it easier and add things back as I went along...
Just shows you how little I know...
Thanks.
I knew someone who knew what they was doing would spot it.
One day I might even understand how to do it.
Thanks for your speedy replies, and for the UV Dial as well it looks great!

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Help please Mark! I thought updating my site to your latest version of the gauges would be straight-forward but I have two problems I can't resolve.
1) I'm not seeing your supplied fonts. Instead I see an alternative which looks like Times New Roman. I found the path to your font folder in gauges-ss.css and added an 's' as my folder is named fonts. Uploading gauges-ss.css to the scripts folder hasn't resolved the problem.
2) I'm not getting the trends popup when I hover over a gauge. Instead it's appearing at the bottom of the page beyond the visible area. I'm lost on that one. I did edit the links line to show my own but that's all.
I'm sure you'll know what the problem is in minutes.

Your page seems to be working fine to me Ray (IE9 & Chrome)? Try a forced refresh in your browser - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... your_cache

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Thanks Mark. I'm using Firefox v9.0.1 and IE8. The former (after a cache delete) shows the image below. I have XP so can't use IE9. IE8 can't support these gauges. The problem persists sadly.

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
Ray, Firefox 8 (I'm upgrading now) shows it cannot get to the CSS files...
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http ://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk/css%5Cgauges-ss.css"
css\gauges-ss.css
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http ://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk/css%5Cddimgtooltip.css"
It looks like you have mixed up your forward and back slashes?
