Did actually save the page in UTF-8 file format as you have declared?

Also you have declared the page as HTML 4.01 Transitional - it really should be HTML5 as per the template.

The gauge titles are not displaying your accented characters either. If you have everything in UTF-8 then it should work.

The LCD font does not display accented characters, you would be best switching to the normal font.

Now some things have changed. Unfortunately without success. Forecast line is still working not properly, or will not display correctly.

That looks better, did you also save any script files you edited in UTF-8 format (particularly gauges.js)? I have just noticed that my new editor says the steelseries library file is in UTF-8 format, but my old editor (Notepad++) says it is ANSI when I open it. Hmm, looks like I have a problem with Komodo Edit :? Maybe I'll have to use BOM.

That should not matter though because the minimised file is always in ANSI format, and it works for other people.

Mark,
Just a comment about the trend indicator in v1.3.3.
I think it would have more visual effect if re-positioned to just below centre of the LCD.
Also the pointer wouldn't obscure it.
Cheers,
Graeme.

Which gauges template - there has been no 'Weather Blues' templates released in this forum (I looked back and could not find any template release) - this uis the SteelSeries gauges forum, not the 'Weather Blues' templates forum.

Hi, everyone

I'm new on this forum so sorry if there is a simple solution for my problem, my steel gauges were working perfect until i changed over to a newer version, what am i doing wrong?

These are the links:http://www.akker.be/gauges_testT.htm and http://www.akker.be/gauges-ss.htm The page is updating (the graphs that is) and two gauges are missing, the files are uploaded because the graphs follow the hour of the day???

Thanks in advance for giving me any clues!

You are still using an old version of 'gauges.js' - v1.2.2

That was meant to be a quick guide for one of the user and certainly not meant as an official release ... the template was put together quickly with little testing, thus the errors in the code. I have now removed both the file and the link to that file...

Sorry for the confusion.

I like the 'TURNED' background pattern and the shadow blurring to the pointers but not so much the pointer TYPE15... 8-)

Good ... no ... great job Mark.

Hi All,

Excellent work Mark.

I tried reading through this massive thread for a solution to what I am seeing but I may have missed it who knows.

What I am seeing on my site and other user sites from this thread when I visit them is when the gauge page first loads and you mouse over the Temperature Gauge to get the graph popup, the graph displayed is the long term one (usually 31 days or tempm.png) graph despite the "g_tipImgs" array in gauges.js being set to temp.png which should be the user set short term graph (in my case 4 days, others use 24 hrs etc).

When I change the gauge from outdoor to indoor the correct graph is displayed (temp.png). When I change back to outdoor the correct graph is also displayed. However when I reload the page, the gauge defaults to outdoor with the long term graph (tempm.png) displayed again.

I can't for the life of me workout why this is happening.

I am using version 1.3.3 release 2 Jan 2012.

Anyone else see this and any suggestions?

Cheers

Phil

OK,
I don't know if I have done the right thing but this has fixed my issue:

var g_refreshGraphs = true; (Line 53 of gauges.js)

The default was false.

Yes I'd spotted that too, it was a mistake on my part. I suspect that if you update the ddimgtooltip.min.js script from v1.3.3 the problem is resolved and you only get the recent temperature graph?
