Mark, I presume you mean the same 'up-arrow/sown-arrow' indicator - other than showing the positive (temp/pressure going up) and the negative (temp/pressure going down) trends, what are (will be) the other two states ('inactive' being one)?

The indicator has four states: up, down, steady, off. Plus visible/hidden.

Version 1.3.3 has been uploaded.

You can switch the trend indicators off completely with the g_tempTrendVisible & g_pressureTrendVisible variables.

Edit: Only 'lightly' tested as I'm busy this evening...

1.3.3
* Updated steelseries.js to library version 0.9.7
- Implements trend indicators on Radial gauges
- Fixes (I hope) a frame redraw bug in Wind gauge (discovered by George)
* Updated gauges.js
- Implements trend indicators
* Updated realtimegaugesT.txt
- Added temptrend and presstrend values

Version 1.3.3 has been uploaded.
Now up and running at: http://www.wheelocknet.net/cumulus/gauges.html?gb

Mark - you did not mention the addition of presstrendval to the realtimegaugesT.txt.

Looks great - I particularly like the bright green "steady" indicator. Any chance of finding a brighter color for the "up" tend. Hard to tell if it is "lit" up. Maybe a lighter gray or just an outline for not lit.

Well done - thanks so much!

One of two things spring to mind:
1. You have edited gauges.js and saved it in ANSI format rather than UTF-8
2. The LCD font does not support the accented characters you require - try switching to the 'normal' font.

OK, I'll try making them a uniform dark gray rather than a darker version of the illuminated colour...

I'm seeing some really nice layouts and gauge setups being done. Is there any way that people can easily share their layouts and settings (assuming that they wish to of course). :idea:

This forum is probably not the right (best?) location for such postings - it might be better to start a new thread... ;)

Meanwhile, may I suggest that you have a look at the source code of the HTML5 Canvas Steel page on Gerrit Grunwald web site (or the Radial Gauges page on Mark's site) - I saved the source code and used the information contained within to create colourful gauges... :) ...But to do that, you might need to download the 'full size' JavaScipt from the GitHub repository.

You might also want to look at all of Gerrit Grunwald blog pages starting with the latest one, published on Monday, January 2, 2012 - there are some incredible new designs/ideas... :D

I'm not sure if you misconstrued my question - or I your answer :D Either way I shall move it to another thread as you suggest.

And thanks for those links too :)

My idea was to keep the thread of this forum aimed at technical aspect of questions concerning the settings and operation of the gauges.

There is also the fact that this thread is getting 'voluminous' with more than 36 pages... ;)

Thus the suggestion to start a new thread where ideas and suggestions concerning the appearance of the gauges can/could be discussed.

In and running :clap:

Here is the standard install : http://41south.net.nz/weather/gauges-ss.htm

And here it is running in Weather Blues template by Jacques : http://41south.net.nz/weather/sstest.htm

This last one is a test - and I see I have broken the picture slide show :oops: But I was pleased to have the gauges work without any major issues.
