Hi,
I just recieved a Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 to set up in the window. I have set up the camera and it works fine with windows and Yawcam. However when I try to FTP images to Weather underground I get a 'Could not connect to ftp server Connection reset' error. Yawcam records images no problem but will not upload to weather underground, I've tried Fwink and that uploads fine, but doesnt record images to file using image array, instead it overwrites the previous image, which I dont want.
I've tried messing with firewall and tried loads of setting suggestions from wunderground and forums and the files are less than 150k. I've ensured uPNP is enabled on the router but i'm out of ideas... I cant use Yawcam and Fwink at the same time, unless there is a way to?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks
Yawcam v0.3.6
Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit
Latest Java version
No security except defaults (only a weather server, but I'm installing some now i've upgraded the RAM and CPU)

Do you have some personal web space where you can upload the pic to and then get Wonderground to retrieve it from there. That's what I do.

Re: YAWCAM FTP Weather Underground error
I seem to have Yawcam working now, I downgraded to an earlier version and that seems to have sorted the issues.

Re: YAWCAM FTP Weather Underground error
There was a mention back in April that there was a ftp issue with the (new) YAWCAM release - Surprised it hasn't been fixed yet !

Re: YAWCAM FTP Weather Underground error
I am using Yawcam and I had ftp errors as well trying to upload to wunderground. I cut back to once every 5 minutes and the errors stopped. Is it possible that wunderground is trying to limit the amout of webcam data by refusing high frequency of data? I noticed on my bitmeter that I was using a lot of bandwidth and cut cumulus back to every 11 minutes as well. I do get a lot of FTP errors on cumulus but not sure from what. The error message is not specific to who I was connecting with when I got the error. I am also sending cumulus data to CWOP.

The only thing that Cumulus uses FTP for is to connect to your own web server.hswaters wrote: I do get a lot of FTP errors on cumulus but not sure from what. The error message is not specific to who I was connecting with when I got the error.

That would explain the errors then. I do not have a web server. I deleted all of the FTP entries in the web setup area so I guess that should put an end to the FTP errors. I guess I did not totally understand the setup instructions. Thanks for the help.
