Todays rain... b 998

Hi Steve,

I don’t know what went wrong but the only rain I had today was 5 or 6 drops.
The display doesn’t show any rain today but Cumulus reports 11.4 mm. :o

Can I correct that with ‘Todays rain’ option?

You should be able to, but before you do, could you please zip up the diags folder and attach it, with your June log file.

Thanks.

I already replaced the day file with a backup file from this afternoon.
It was not only the rain that was wrong also the max. temp, pressure and maybe more.
The wrong day file is included.

Thanks - but it was your June log that I asked for, not dayfile.txt.

At around 20:27, Cumulus started up and the station was sending the archive data that it had collected since Cumulus was last running. But then it decided to re-send some archive entries from over a week ago:

I haven't got any checks in for this sort of thing happening; my understanding is that it's not supposed to happen - the station deletes archive entries after they've been downloaded (and these entries have been downloaded, they're in the June log file at the appropriate time. If you look towards the end of your log file, you'll see you now have a number of old out-of-sequence entries in there.

I'll have to try to put some checks in for the station doing this :(

You mean the 22-6 entries.
That means it keeps old entries for some reason?
Is there a way to let Cumulus check if all old entries are gone / deleted after downloading the data?

Or is it a problem with my station?

Yes.

It appears to, sometimes.

There's an 'erase memory' command that Cumulus could send at the end of the logger download, but I'd rather not use that. It'll be easier just to check for out-of-sequence entries if/when they arrive and ignore them.
Or is it a problem with my station?
Googling suggests it's just a 'quirk' of the station. It seems to have quite a few...

Well, of all the stations that Cumulus works with, those give me the least trouble...

My next one will be a VP2 or VP3. :)

Actually, now I come to think of it, the "old" Oregon Scientific stations seem pretty reliable
