Will Cumulus update WU from behind a proxy?

I am setting up a weather station at a school and Cumulus seems to be having trouble connecting to Weather Underground from behind a proxy. Is there something I need to set up to get this to work? I didn't see anything in the docs but I may have been looking in the wrong place.

If it's a transparent proxy, it should just work. Otherwise, probably not.

Did you ever figure out a workaround to getting weather data uploaded from Cumulus to Weather Underground from behind an Internet proxy server?
