I am intending to purchase this station as I wish to use Cumulus software to display personal weather web pages.

My garden is very sheltered, and I do not wish to use the wind speed/direction sensor.

My question is: Will the watson station and Cumulus software work without the wind inputs?

Thanks.

Cumulus does tend to work better when all the sensors are operating, to be honest, but in the case of the wind sensors you should be OK, it will be just as if it were a calm day. I'm pretty sure the station will be OK with not having the wind sensors connected.

Hi
If there is a problem why not connect them but fix the rotation

I had my wind sensors unplugged for a few days while re-routing some wires. The console reports no wind speed and there is no direction arrow while unplugged. Cumulus reports 0.0 speed and the default North (or South depending on settings) direction.

In reply to your email, which I am unable to reply to for some reason:

You only need to install Easyweather if you want to change the station's logger interval. But it's a good idea to run it anyway before using Cumulus to make sure it's working OK.

If you have any further questions, please ask on the forum. Lots of people have Fine Offset stations and can help you.
