Sorry another question

In the Averages & Extremes for this Year I have a wind gust of 159 kms and a Wind Run of 19420.9 kms which are wrong in the new program. Could you please tell me there this information is located.

Both in dayfile.txt. The yearly wind run is the sum of the individual daily wind run figures.

Here's the entry with the 159 value for wind gust:

26/06/11,159.0,135,10:27,3.1,06:43,23.1,10:27,1025.3,16:43,1029.5,00:07,0,10:34,0,11.0,80.0,19.4,13:16

Why do you think your wind run is wrong? What value do you think it should be?

Steve

The wind run figure just seem to be too large. Look s like I need to go back and check all the numbers to be sure.

Many thanks again.

Too large? If anything, it looks way too small to me, but maybe you don't have much wind there. That's an average of about 4 kph. My wind run for this year so far is just about to reach 100,000 km.

OK

Found one other, so the Wind Run was pretty close anyway. Yes we have very few windy days, and when we get a strong high like this week you may not get any wing at all.

To sum up, all info goes into the dayfile.txt and is then shifted into the relevant other files after any manipulation. I am making the assumption that this file is read every time that Cumulus is started and writes the updates on closure or midnight.

I appreciate all your input and time on my issue.
