Have a look at mine from a design point of view. Unfortunately (for you) it is very much reliant on PHP, and Javascript.

you're more than welcome to mine as I got a lot of it from other people anyway. ;) That said its doesn't look profoundly different from the original.

I too got bored looking at the same layout.
So what I did was roamed around the internet looking at different layouts.
Sites like this will keep you amused for hours:
http://www.axelvold.net/weather_topsites/
http://www.computecnetworks.com/topsites/
http://www.computecnetworks.com/topsites/
I did not want to use others templates so with very very basic htm knowledge I wrote my own layouts using all webtags I could.
As Steve added webtags I added them to the pages. I did however pinch scripts but acknowledged the writer as I went as with the cloudbase and Data summary. Without php you of course will have a few limitations.

In my endeavour to learn htm to write my own layout their were 3 things plugged into me:
1) Make sure all pages validate. This can be done here :http://validator.w3.org/
2) Make sure all pages can be opened and 100% functional across all web browsers. Many still use older style browers such as seamonkey or mozilla. I have downloaded many web browsers and I ran each page through them as I went. Usually if they validate they will be fine.
3)Lastly continuity. This advise came from this forum. Keep the page layouts the same basically.

Hope this helps :)
