Dayfile.txt file not updating

My Dayfile.txt file hasn't updated since 1st June
The June11 log file is ok
Still using Windows XP

Any thoughts pls Steve

It looks like something is preventing the daily rollover taking place - your last daily rain on the graph is for Jun 1st. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Cumulus is doing the day rollover successfully, but something on your system is preventing it writing to dayfile.txt (anti-virus or something). If you look through the cumulus.008 file from the diags folder, you'll see sections like this:

3/06/2011 00:00:00.277 : Copy the following data into dayfile.txt

It should have been flashing the error light to warn you that this was happening; clicking on the error light would then show a message directing you to look at the diags file.

You should be able to find all of your missing entries. Stop Cumulus and copy the lines into dayfile.txt. You also need to find out what is stopping Cumulus writing to the file.

Ive copied the data across to the dayfile.txt file as suggested

I use AVG, but have been doing so for quite some time without any problems

The only thing that I can think of is Windows Automatic Updates. Aren't they done every Wednesday (last wed being the 1st) and the problem started Wed night

I'll just see what happens tonight

Do you use Toolbox? If so you haven't got the backup time set to 00:00 have you?
