Cumulus Support

Hi Steve,
I've noticed lately I'm seeing more erroneous readings logged in cumulus that screw my all time records... the alltimelog.txt is a fantastic place to go to fix them back up again but I'd like to request one small change

Is it possible to log the date and time in the same format you use in alltime.ini?
Here's a sample from my alltime.ini:
lowchilltime=11/05/2011 05:47:00 AM
and here's the log entry that updated it:
2011-05-11 05:47 7.406 "Low wind chill" 2011-05-11 05:47 7.419

If I want to correct one from the other I have to manually type the date in... it would be much easier if I could just copy'n'paste it (yes I'm lazy)....
I realise its no biggie for me to have to type the date in but if this was reasonably easy to adjust in Cumulus it would reduce the risk of me stuffing it up.

I deliberately chose the unambiguous ISO date format when I invented the file. I should have used ISO date formats for all the other files, if I'd been thinking about it at the time, or had any idea how widespread the use of Cumulus would become. It would be a backward step to change the alltimelog.ini file to use the same format as the alltime.ini file, and in any case I'm afraid I would put changing this as a low priority in a very long list of proposed enhancement.

This is another example of a situation where someone could write a stand-alone utility - to semi-automate the editing of the file.

Edit: Actually, have you tried just copying and pasting? The code which parses the alltime.ini file may well accept ISO date format anyway.

Hmm, if you think there'd be value in that sort of utility I might put one together...

To be honest I didn't venture off the path of well known data format
Since it works as is, thats perfect! ... the best enhancements are the ones you've already made
